When we initially learned that glitter is made from plastic, our hearts sunk, knowing that what we wash down the drain eventually ends up in the ocean.
Scientists report over 12 million tons of plastic makes its way into the ocean each year. For perspective, that's 250,000 dump trucks full of plastic, every year. Major cosmetic brands are essentially selling us pollution on a massive scale. We couldn’t stand to be part of the problem, so we started brainstorming solutions.
We are Claire Noir Beauty and we are #blackownedbusiness beauty defined. What is defined? Well, it's a few things: 1. Being radiance of spirit, character, kindness to ourselves and to others, it's strength and self-confidence to know that with or without makeup your real beauty is inside you. 2. It's also about the things that make you look and feel beautiful, of course makeup being one, is about bringing our inside beauty - outwards, and this, my friend's is beauty defined. 3. It comes from within - you are beauty and beauty is you.
