Hello, I am Sylvia Cruz, founder of Women Empowering Girls. Since childhood, I wanted to become a nurse. However, the road to achieving my goals has not been the easiest. I came from a single parent home. My 10 siblings and I were educationally and financially disadvantaged. I became pregnant at the age of 15 and then dropped out of High School soon after. I had no goals and no direction.
