Scoop USA Newspaper is the oldest FREE Black owned newspaper in the City of Philadelphia. Founded by Sonny Driver, Scoop is widely known for its successful accomplishments of bringing the African American community together to change West River Drive to Martin Luther King Drive. Scoop is distributed each Friday, city-wide in Philadelphia, Chester and Camden, NJ; including weekly columns on subjects such as politics, religion, music, community news and city and state announcements and programs. Our mission is to provide a platform for the Community to share those stories that do not make it to the Daily News, the stories of success and the struggles that community members have each and every day that make the difference in the lives of other community members sharing the same experiences. It is that place where you can learn about your community, and the events programs and initiatives within the Community that can be benefit to its growth and development. It is "FREE" a vehicle that can and should be used to the benefit of the Community!
