Melanin and Lupus

Melanin and Lupus is an advocacy program on a mission to educate, empower, and inspire through public speaking. Lupus is an unpredictable autoimmune disease that tends to develop more often in people of color.

The cause of Lupus is still unknown, and to date, there is no cure. For many unfamiliar with Lupus, diagnosis can often take many years. Education can help to minimize lupus flare-ups and assist in accelerated diagnosis. Our mission is to educate people in African-American communities about Lupus. Our essential tips have been known to improve quality of life substantially.
